On the scheduled day, a certified Gas Safe registered engineer will visit your property to perform a thorough inspection and service of your gas boiler. The engineer will clean internal parts, such as the heat exchanger and burner, and test the boiler’s controls, safety devices, and thermostat to ensure they function correctly. They will also check the flue and ventilation, and assess gas pressure and flow to ensure the boiler operates safely. If any issues are found, the engineer will provide recommendations and can often make minor repairs on the spot. After the inspection and service, the engineer will issue a Gas Safety Certificate, confirming that your boiler meets safety standards. This certificate is crucial for both landlords and homeowners, providing peace of mind and regulatory compliance.
